Dan Ford on Values & How Patients Should be Treated

In today’s videos, patient safety advocate Dan Ford shares how he and his family were treated through their medical tragedy versus how he wished they had been treated. He also talks about his values and foundation of faith, and shares some things we could all learn through his family’s ordeal.

In the first video Ford shares how he wishes he and his family had been treated through their medical tragedy. He starts out by saying everyone should be treated with basic kindness, empathy, respect, transparency and no intimidation.

In the second video Ford shares that his foundation is his Christian faith, which supports his values, including the idea of one’s true north, respect, listening to each other, team play, kindness, caring, encouraging each other, and helping others in all we do even through tough and challenging times.
