Geoff Brenner on the Privilege & Responsibility of Serving as TPC’s President & CEO

In today’s featured interview segments, Geoff Brenner discusses his most important responsibilities as president & CEO of TPC, and also comments on the honor of working with a great board.

In response to the question, “What are the 3 most important responsibilities you have?” Brenner begins by listing his first and topmost priority as the leader of TPC:

“My top priority is to work with our board, with the CEOs of our healthcare organizations, our members, and help make sure they’re connected to each other in the right ways. They’re busy running their own organizations; as much as I would love to think they get up every morning and the first thing they think about is TPC, and before they go to bed they say a prayer for us, I know they’re consumed running their own organizations. Yet their committment to each other and to TPC is incredibly important. So my job is to work with that group of leaders and make sure I’m giving them the right amount of information at the right time to make the right decisions.”

In the next segment Brenner comments on the greatest honor he has as president & CEO, saying, “Probably the greatest honor is working with the board that I have.” He goes on to describe his board and what he admires and respects about them and their unique relationship to each other.
