In today’s video segment from the interview with hospital president Traci Bernard, we look at some of the habits most responsible for leadership success. Bernard points to several habits and core values, including working hard, being dedicated and loyal, recognizing that you don’t know everything, and not being afraid to surround yourself with people who are smarter than you.
She explains with a laugh,
“There are a lot of people smarter than me. That’s the trick—you don’t have to be the smartest person in the room if you surround yourself with a lot of really smart people who make you look good!”
Bernard goes on to talk about sticking to good morals and values, and says,
“I want to put my head on the pillow every night, look in the mirror every night, and know that every decision I made I can feel good about, and that I don’t have to question myself.”
