In the first segment Allison reflects on his career and the importance of having passion. Allison describes his career as being a wonderful calling, full of excitement and stimulation:
“I think healthcare is one of the most exciting areas you can be involved in today.”
Allison reinforces the idea that when you are passionate about what you are doing, it becomes easy to do each day.
In the second segment, Dan Nielsen poses the question: “Of all the ways you spend your time and energy, what brings the greatest value, in your opinion?” Allison answers easily: “Spending time with my family.” With his transition away from the C-suite, Allison plans to enjoy the extra time he will have with his family.
As for his legacy, Allison’s hope is that at the end of his life, the one thing people can say is that “he served others.” What a tremendous man to learn from.
