In this video segment Dan Nielsen, Founder and CEO of America’s Healthcare Leaders, talks with Phil Newbold, newly retired CEO of Beacon Health, about what he plans to do following his retirement.
Newbold said “I try to avoid the R word (retirement)” and does plan to work another 10 years after stepping down from his CEO position. He is looking forward to the freedom to do some of the things he loves and hasn’t had time to do.
Newbold plans to do some teaching and is very excited about becoming a certified John Maxwell trainer. He and his wife plan to stay in South Bend and continue to be very active in the community and in healthcare.
