Traci Bernard on What She’d Do Differently if Starting Over

When asked what she’d do differently if given the opportunity to start over, hospital president Traci Bernard responded that she wasn’t sure she’d do anything differently, explaining,

“I feel like I’ve had some of the best learning experiences. I’m not going to say that everywhere I’ve worked or every person I’ve worked for was the best experience, but I learned from them what I wanted to do, or I learned from them what I didn’t want to do. And I grew in every single job that I’ve had, every life experience that I’ve had. I wouldn’t go back and change anything.”

She followed that up by saying, “If I could do something different, I wish I was as professionally mature at twenty-five as I am today. So I wish I would’ve known then what I know now, and I probably would’ve been smarter, I wouldn’t have made the mistakes that I made.”
