Traci Bernard Reflects on Her Career

Traci Bernard has led a very interesting career in healthcare leadership, and has learned a lot along the way. In today’s featured interview segments, Bernard shares a little about what she’s learned, her passion for her current role, and what she’d like to pass on to others.

Asked to share some of the greatest lessons she’s learned in her career, Bernard responded,

“Be true to yourself, work hard, take risks. Don’t be afraid—or let fear drive you, don’t let fear paralyze you… and don’t burn bridges.”

She went on to talk about how much she loves her current job as president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Southlake, Texas, noting, “I want to get out of bed and like coming to work… and I want to create that culture.”

In the third video segment featured today, Bernard describes the two books she dreams of someday writing in order to pass on to others some of what she’s learned and experienced—the good, the bad, and the hilarious!
