Today we are pleased to continue sharing some excellent segments from the interview with Mary Ellen Doyle, Corporate VP of Nursing Operations at Scripps Health. During these segments Doyle reveals what excites her about healthcare today and the hope she has for the future.
When asked about what she most enjoys about her job and working in healthcare, Doyle responded,
“Today one of the things that I enjoy most is where healthcare is going. It’s hard work, but for the first time ever I really see that we are ultimately, I believe, going to end up with a delivery system that is going to be designed for the patient.”
She went on to say,
“I am very optimistic. I know it’s going to be very, very hard work and we’re going to have ups and downs, and the entire system isn’t aligned yet, so it’s going to take a heck of a lot of resilience—it’s going to take very resilient leaders. But I am very, very encouraged.”
