In today’s interview segment, hospital president Traci Bernard shares an optimistic outlook on the future of healthcare in America.
“I’ve seen healthcare evolve; we’ve gone through so many changes, and we’ve taken risks, and it’s been challenging. But we always end up providing a better experience for the people that we serve. So at the end of the day, if we keep evolving in a way that keeps the patient really in the center of what we’re doing… we’re doing what’s right for our patients.”
She acknowledges the inherent challenges facing hospitals and other healthcare providers: “I think our biggest challenge is ‘how do you bring the patient, the providers, and the payers together to create that successful experience in healthcare?'” but then sums up her positive outlook in one simple statement:
“If we keep putting the patient first, we’re going to make the right decisions. And I’m excited about being part of that.”
