In today’s segments, two healthcare executives discuss the importance of acknowledging and celebrating the successes of your team. Truly great leaders understand the importance of teamwork and understand the benefits of an effective team for your organization. Geoff Brenner, president and CEO of TPC, and Tony Bohn, Chief HR Officer at Norton Healthcare, each take time to discuss their teams.
In the first segment, Geoff Brenner answers what he is most proud of concerning his team. His response:
“I think this team is the best I’ve ever worked with around managing change and ambiguity.”
He continues later in the segment:
“There’s always going to be something on the horizon that has the ability to completely disrupt you, and what I’m proud of is how this team now links arms and smiles into the face of it.”
Healthcare is constantly facing new changes, so having an adaptable team willing to embrace change and face it head on is an amazing benefit.
In the second segment, Tony Bohn begins by discussing the greatest experience of his career. While listening to Bohn, note the use of “we” instead of “I.” Bohn has experienced immense success at Norton Healthcare and has acknowledged the part his team plays, saying: “You don’t find this kind of a team every day, so you need to enjoy and cherish it.”
