Al Cornish on His Proudest Achievements as Chief Learning Officer

This week we are continuing to feature segments from the interview with Al Cornish, Chief Learning Officer at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY.  Today’s two segments center around Cornish’s proudest accomplishments as Chief Learning Officer.

In the first segment featured today Dan Nielsen, CEO & Founder of America’s Healthcare Leaders asks for specific examples of how Cornish’s vision and leadership made a significant difference at Norton Healthcare. In response, Cornish briefly discusses the creation of the competency-based learning system and the development of the “Norton Leadership Way.”

In the second segment, Cornish focuses on what he considers to be one of his greatest experiences as Chief Learning Officer: the development of Norton University.  Since its beginnings in January 2007, the response has been overwhelming.
