In today’s video, Dan Nielsen, Founder and CEO of America’s Healthcare Leaders asks Diane Hopkins, Author what she hopes her professional legacy will be.
Hopkins responded by saying children come to mind and she shares about a project she worked on that has literally touched 10,000 – 35,000 annually since 2001 – 2002.
The project was called the Innovation Wow Project which is still alive and active today through the Health Works Kids Museum. This project helped her team to think differently about going upstream — looking at prevention in a different way. In addition, this museum has been replicated throughout America, even touching more children.
As one 10 year old who went through the museum said when asked how she liked the museum she commented, “I felt so important”. And that, for Hopkins is what it’s all about… helping children to understand that their influence matters. Thank you Diane Hopkins and Phil Newbold and the many others who contributed to this project to see it through to reality. YOU have made a difference!
